David Grant
CEO/Owner
David is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in alternative energy operations and technology. He has held key positions at FPLE (currently NextEra), BP Alternative Energy, Apex Clean Energy, and JCM Power, where he was responsible for building and managing multiple Remote Operations Centers for more than 77 wind and solar farms. David possesses a unique skill set that includes designing, building, and managing remote operations post-COD, as well as LAN/WAN infrastructure design, SCADA configuration, and implementation for pre-COD projects.
David has been instrumental in leading the implementation of portfolio-wide data aggregation, reporting, and analytical systems for FPLE, BP Alternative Energy, and Apex Clean Energy. His expertise in this area has enabled these companies to optimize their operations and enhance overall efficiency. Additionally, as a subject matter expert, David has conducted extensive evaluations of wind and solar control room operations consisting of over 100 utility-sized solar and large rooftop solar systems.
Before venturing into the wind and solar industry, David spent several years in the geothermal power industry as an outside operator, control room operator, and shift supervisor. His experience in the oil and gas industry also includes operating and supervising coiled tubing operations on oil, gas, and geothermal wells and drilling rigs.
With his extensive knowledge and experience in alternative energy operations and technology, David has become a respected leader in the industry. He continues to innovate and improve operations to help companies achieve their sustainability goals while maximizing profitability.
David is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Matt Swartz
Chief Operating Officer
Matt is a partner and COO at DCG Renewables LLC, where he leads the inspection services department. Based in Abilene, Texas, he has over 34 years of experience in the wind industry and renewable energy.
Matt began as a field technician in Tehachapi, California, in 1989 and has served as a representative for asset owners/operators and original equipment manufacturers, specializing in project construction, operations, management, and equipment manufacturing. Additionally, he has worked for a prestigious independent engineering group, focusing on QA/QC, root cause analysis, specialized inspections, and project performance reviews.
Matt has operated and managed 12 successful and profitable wind farms, five of which he was directly involved in developing and constructing. He established and managed a turbine manufacturing plant in North America, which produced nearly 700 wind turbine generators with the help of 60 employees. He later collaborated with an independent engineering organization to co-develop and maintain a highly successful inspection services department specializing in quality assurance and control, operational performance reviews, end-of-warranty inspections, and construction monitoring.
Matt’s vision for DCG Renewables emphasizes operational assessment, performance management, true preventative maintenance, and inspection services. He aims to ensure clients achieve the highest asset efficiency, performance, and profitability. He is committed to conveying true risks and opportunities, enabling clients to make informed decisions and maximize their asset performance.

Ateno Zamora
Inspections Lead
Ateno has over five years of dedicated experience in the wind renewable industry. He quickly honed his skills and expertise in various technical areas, ultimately leading to his current position as an Inspection Manager at DCG Renewables LLC.
His journey began as a traveling service technician with a strong foundation in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, enabling him to understand the intricate operations of wind turbines in new construction, repowering, service, and maintenance. He has become an accomplished turbine inspector and a borescope subject matter expert. He possesses outstanding training and leadership skills and knows how to conduct himself professionally and with integrity.
His certifications and training include OSHA 10, CPR/ First Aid, self-rescue training, advanced self-rescue, various lock-out/tag-out OEM programs, high-voltage switch training, and Global Wind Organization (GWO) certifications. His hands-on experience in various roles within the wind industry and across multiple turbine models and technologies has equipped him to identify potential issues and hazards, ensuring optimal performance of personnel and wind turbines.
Additionally, his experiences have allowed him to collaborate closely with various companies across diverse disciplines throughout his career. This includes several turbine OEMs, inspection specialists, independent engineering groups, and other third-party providers with whom he has established ongoing relationships. This ensures the highest level of compliance and consistency within the industry.

Zubair Solangi
Inspections Lead
Zubair has over nine years of comprehensive experience in the wind industry. He specializes in inspecting, maintaining, and optimizing wind turbines to ensure they operate at peak efficiency and reliability. His expertise spans turbine inspections, health and safety assessments, technical troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering in 2009 and started his career in 2010 as an Assistant Manager of Operations at Karachi Electric. There, he specialized in high-voltage systems, including 132 kV switchgear, electrical distribution networks, and power transformers, handling corrective and preventive maintenance to ensure an uninterrupted and reliable power supply to critical systems.
In 2015, he transitioned into the wind energy sector as Assistant Manager of Operations for a 50 MW wind project in Jhimpir, Sindh, Pakistan. In this capacity, he was responsible for monitoring the remote-control center. He was actively engaged in preventive and corrective service and maintenance tasks on wind turbines, which included troubleshooting and performance reviews to increase operational efficiency. He was promoted in 2016 to the project’s Operations Manager, responsible for all aspects of plant operations, including management, project performance, service and maintenance, inventory controls, and high voltage operations.
2018 he transitioned to Plant Manager for a 100 MW wind farm. His responsibilities included managing all plant operations, conducting detailed semi-annual and annual wind turbine inspections, supervising troubleshooting tasks and efficiencies, and overseeing all balance of plant operations, maintenance, and service.
Throughout his career, he has continuously built on his technical foundation through advanced certifications. These include Global Wind Organization (GWO) certifications, First Aid and CPR, SRK-15 rescue training, wind turbine troubleshooting and maintenance training from China, NEBOSH certification (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), and a Project Management Certification PMP (2022).
